Tony Pulis reckons avoiding relegation to the Championship is nothing to get carried away with, not yet.

The Eagles boss finally admitted that there will be Premier League football at Selhurst Park next season following the 3-2 win at Everton on Wednesday night.

And despite his level-headed outlook, the former Stoke City manager could not stop pouring praise over everyone associated with the club.

“The community togetherness has been important in the success that we have achieved. We’ve brought this club together,” he said.

“You can be difficult to move if you are as one. You need the supporters, the boardroom and the dressing room all together and we’ve managed it.

“But no one should get carried away with staying up - we have to stay up for three years as the third year we had at Stoke City was so important for our infrastructure.”

Palace visit Upton Park this afternoon for the 3pm derby against Sam Allardyce’s West Ham, who sit just below Palace in the table, in 12th position.

Pulis could be travelling to east London without a host of the players who have been key to four wins out of four.

He said: “Joel Ward, [Marouane] Chamakh and [Yannick] Bolasie, plus [Adrian] Mariappa, who broke his nose, but he’s OK - it’s just tiredness for one or two of them, but we’ll see in the next 24 hours how they are.”

He added: “I’ve got tremendous respect for Sam and West Ham.

“They are a tough team and they’ve got a lot of Premier League experience. Andy Carroll is back and they have two decent wingers in [Matt] Jarvis and [Stewart] Downing.

“They are a fantastic football club with great tradition and I love going to Upton Park. It’s one of the grounds close to the pitch and there’s always a great atmosphere.”

“West Ham have had an extra day’s rest and didn’t have to travel either but it is an important game for everyone at this football club.

“We have a responsibility to the Premier League to get as many points as we can and I’m sure the chairman will remind us that there is a lot of money at stake.

“Our past few games have been fantastic. We have had a great run of results, which we needed especially when you look at our remaining two home games against Man City and Liverpool.”
