Crystal Palace defender Paddy McCarthy has re-signed for Sheffield United until the end of December.
The Irishman spent a month at Bramall Lane earlier this season, making five appearances, having played only four games for the Eagles in three seasons after injury kept him on the sidelines.
While McCarthy will be available for League One games, Palace have stipulated that he must not be played in the FA Cup as he features in boss Neil Warnock's plans.

Blades boss Nigel Clough said: “He has a young family based in south London, but Paddy loves playing football and has visibly enjoyed his time with us.
“We are grateful to Crystal Palace for sanctioning the extension and to Neil Warnock for helping make the move possible again.
He added: "Palace plan to use him in the third round of the FA Cup, but for us to know he is available for all league games until the end of the year is fantastic."
