Crystal Palace loanee Sullay Kaikai offered a glimpse of his potential on Saturday by scoring two superb goals during Shrewsbury’s 4-2 victory over Colchester.
The highly-rated winger, 20, has been on Palace’s books since 2013 after graduating through the club’s several youth teams.
With Palace possessing several capable wingers – including Wilfried Zaha, Yannick Bolasie and Bakary Sako – Kaikai has been unable to earn any first team action and has been sent out on several loan moves.
And the Southwark-born midfielder is flourishing on his current loan deal at League One side Shrewsbury, scoring a superb brace during Town’s comeback win over Colchester at the weekend.
Kaikai’s first came after he beat the offside trap, calmly took the ball around visiting goalkeeper Jamie Jones and slotted the ball into the net.
The forward used his pace to break through 10 minutes later, before beating Jones with a fine finish.
