Brentford boss Mark Warburton has warned his men they must approach each of the club’s remaining 11 games like they are cup finals.

The Bees have bounced back from a 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last month with three wins and a draw to sit a point behind the league leaders with a game in hand after Saturday’s 1-0 win at Leyton Orient.

It means, with only Sam Saunders on the treatment table, Warburton’s squad are well placed for a title tilt and the boss warned  there is
no room for complacency.

“We’ve seen from Wolves’ results there are defintely no ‘gimmes’ in this league,” he said ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Coventry City.

“There are 11 games left and we have to treat each one of them like a cup final.

“There lots of twists and turns to come.”

Brentford saw plans for a new stadium in Lionel Road given the green light this week, while the club was named community club of the
year at the Football League awards on Sunday.

Midfidleder Adam Forshaw picked up the League One player of the year and Warburton is keen to see the 22-year-old grace Brentford’s new stage when it is completed.

“Adam will be the first person to tell you that his award is for the team,” said the manager.

“But to be producing performances of such quality and consistency, for someone his age, is magnificent.

"He clearly has a long way to go in the game."

He added: “I have told the players that the next challenge is to fill the new stadium and, hopefully, players like Jake Bidwell, Harlee Dean and Adam will be here to see it when it is finished.”
