Brentford boss Mark Warburton admits Andre Gray has taken to life in the Championship like a duck to water, but there is more to come.
The 23-year-old, signed from Conference Premier champions Luton Town in the summer, starred as goals from Jota, Alex Pritchard and Jonathan Douglas secured a 3-1 win over Reading at Griffn Park on Saturday.
Gray was prolific for the Hatters last term and already has three goals in 11 appearances for the Bees this season.
And Warburton was suitably impressed with his efforts at the weekend ahead of the international break.
"Andre has done great for us. He is keeping people out of the team because he deserves to," he told Bees player.
"He has a big job to do. At this level it is not just about what you do with the ball, but also what you do without the ball too.
"He has a lot to learn - everyone has a lot to learn - but he is doing great."
The Bees bounced back from Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Watford to secure their fifth win of the season at the weekend.
"Reading are a very good side. I don't think we played as well as we have done at home," added Warburton.
"Defensively we stood up really strong. It was a tremendous effort.
"We didn't look after the ball quite as well as we can, but it was very pleasing to get the result."
