Crystal Palace have sent out a stark warning to ticket touts ahead of their match against Liverpool on Monday.

Liverpool FC and Palace have been contacted by a number of fans who are voicing concerns about supporters travelling to Selhurst Park without tickets.

Both clubs have said those who are holding counterfeit tickets will not be allowed into the stadium and those who sell tickets on may face a possible ban from the club.

Liverpool FC issued a statement on their website today saying they are working closely with Crystal Palace to ensure those with official tickets can access the stadium.

There will be extra Liverpool Football Club stewards on hand to assist with security at the ground.

Merseyside Police will also be supporting the Metropolitan Police with any illegal ticketing issues around the stadium prior to kick-off.

A statement on the Crystal Palace website said: “Crystal Palace Football Club retain the right to resell or transfer tickets - we are not affiliated to any third party sellers/websites.

“Should tickets be found in the possession of supporters that have not purchased directly from us, then the club reserves the right to make that ticket void and the holder may be refused entry or ejected from the stadium.

“The original owner of the ticket may also face a possible ban from the club. This applies to season ticket holders and members.”
