Dwight Gayle is set to miss the fixtures against Arsenal and Manchester United with an injury.

The former Peterborough star has featured in all of Palace’s last four fixtures, but will be sidelined when the Eagles travel to Arsenal on Sunday.

Alan Pardew fears Gayle, 25, will also be absent on Wednesday night for the trip to Man United.

In fact, the setback – understood to be a buttocks injury – could see Gayle ruled out of the FA Cup semi-final against Watford next Sunday.

Pardew said: “Gayle won’t make this game [Arsenal]. I don’t actually think he will make Man United.

“He’s a possibility for the semi-final.”

Gayle scored his first goal in more than six months against West Ham earlier this month, but his struggles in South London look set to continue with this injury.
