Wilfried Zaha is adamant his Crystal Palace teammate Yannick Bolasie should never be written off.

After a quiet game against Arsenal in which Palace found themselves a goal behind with less than 10 minutes to go, Bolasie burst into life and grabbed an equaliser.

And Zaha believes Bolasie’s presence on the pitch means Palace always have someone that is capable of turning a game on its head.

“The thing with Yannick is you can’t write him off if he’s having a quiet game,” said Zaha.

“You just have to have to trust in him, because he can come up with moments like he did.

“Even if he was having a quiet game I have no doubt he could do something to change the game.”

Zaha, who came on as a second-half substitute at the Emirates, was “buzzing” with the draw which saw Palace move to 39 points.

The 23-year-old believes the Eagles showed too much respect to Arsenal in the first-half, but came back to earn a deserved point.

“We’re buzzing we managed to get a point and I think we should have, we deserved it,” he added.

“Arsenal dominated possession and I didn’t expect anything different. We did give the ball away too much.

“You know when you give a team too much respect. They are Arsenal, but once we had the ball we have players that can attack as well.

“In the second half we showed that bit more and managed to get the goal.”
