Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish wants Alan Pardew’s new contract signed, sealed and delivered before the Eagles fly into Wembley.
Last weekend’s 2-1 win over Stoke City at Selhurst Park, thanks to Dwight Gayle’s second half brace, guaranteed Premier League survival for Palace.
Boss Pardew had stalled on signing his new deal until the club’s future in the top flight was secure, but now Parish has revealed it is just the minutiae that is being finalised.
Parish said: “We are just finishing off the finer points, it was all agreed ages ago, but he did not want to sign until we were secure in the league.
“I am not sure exactly when it will be done, but it will be done soon.”
He added: “I’d like to think we would have it done before the final, it would be nice to get it out of the way.”
