Christian Benteke will undergo a medical today at Crystal Palace ahead of a £32m move from Liverpool.

The 25-year-old Belgian international has agreed personal terms with the Eagles – but Palace boss Alan Pardew stressed that the move is not yet complete.

He said: “He'll have his medical today, but personal terms have to be done. We've agreed everything with Liverpool.

"I don't want to talk too much about it because it's still not complete, but Yannick Bolasie and Mile Jedinak have left this week and I think it's important to replace iconic players with iconic players.”

He added: "That's something that didn't always happen at Newcastle, so I'm pleased the board has been brave with his move."

Benteke scored 10 goals in 42 appearances for the Reds last season, but he made his name in the Premier League at Aston Villa, scoring 49 goals in 101 appearances.
