Sutton United downed by Dorchester, but Doswell remains upbeat
Sutton United's promotion credentials were dented on Saturday at Gander Green Lane after a 1-0 defeat to Skrill South whipping boys Dorchester Town.
Despite dominating possession, United were undone by a Brandon Goodship strike on 66 minutes.
However, despite the result and a fall to eighth in the table, boss Paul Doswell remained upbeat.
He said: "Had we played poorly, we would be angry, but we did not and it was just one of those days.
"The stats man said we had 32 efforts on target compared with Dorchester's two. We're disappointed with the result, but we're not beating ourselves up about it."
He added: "There is so long to go in the season that you cannot get too high when things go well, or too low when things go wrong.
"Credit to Dorchester, they ran their socks off and they came to do a job and they did it."
Doswell is without the suspended Simon Downer and Mitchell Nelson for the trip to Weston-super-Mare tomorrow night, while Sam Rents is an injury doubt.
Marvin Williams will travel with the squad as he makes a return to training after a long injury lay-off.
