Kingstonian might feel invincible at present, but boss Tommy Williams says his men are not getting carried away with their 12-match unbeaten league run.

Skipper Alan Inns scored the only goal of the game as Ks beat Enfield Town 1-0 on Monday to move up to fourth in the Ryman Premier League table ahead of the midweek action.

Ks have only lost in the FA Cup – 2-0 at Dunstable Town – since a 3-0 home defeat to league leaders Dulwich Hamlet on August 31.

Williams enjoyed a similar run as a player at Boreham Wood in a season that ended in promotion, but the former Ks midfielder is looking no further ahead than Saturday’s trip to Met Police.

“There is a long old road to go with plenty of football to be played and points to be picked up,” he said.

“This league has a habit of throwing up twists and turns, so we are not getting carried away with anything.

“Confidence is high and the work ethic is great and we are just taking each game as it comes.”

He added: “We beat Met Police 7-0 the last time we played them, but that counts for nothing.

“They are a much improve side since then and have got some decent results.

“They will be out for revenge and we have to go there with the right attitude to be successful.”
