Battersea’s Bradley Skeete steps up to the biggest challenge of his career on February 15 when he meets former world champion “Vicious” Vivian Harris at the Copper Box Arena.

It will be a stern test for the 26-year-old former Earlsfield ABC representative who claimed the English welterweight title last November after beating the vastly experienced former European champion Colin Lynes.

New York-based Guyana-born Harris, 35, has held the WBA light-welterweight belt on four occasions, but lost to Britain’s Junior Witter for the WBC version back in September 2007 in Doncaster.

“This will be another big step up for me so I’m really looking forward to this one,” said Skeete, pictured.

“He’s a former WBA world champion so he’s mixed with very high level fighters.

“He’s been over here a couple of times and been beat but I cannot take anything for granted, he’ll obviously be coming over here to win so I got to be on my A game for this one.”

Finchley boxer Dereck Chisora headlines the Copper Box card defending his European heavyweight title against undefeated Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko, while his big domestic rival Tyson Fury features in a 10-rounder.
