Sutton & Epsom head coach Jeff Parsons says they will give it everything against Wimbledon this weekend to stay in the hunt for promotion out of London Division One South.

Sutton, in fourth, host table-toppers Wimbledon, knowing defeat could effectively end their season, while a bonus point victory would lift them to within three points, with three games remaining.

However, Parsons is without James Caddy (knee) and Dave Cook (ankle) ahead of the make or break clash.

He said: “Looking at the remaining games that everyone has got, we really have to win every one and pick up bonus points on the way.

“Sidcup and Chobham could still catch Wimbledon, as could we, so it is all to play for.”

He added: “James and Dave are key players for us, so missing them is a blow.”

Last time round in November, Sutton ran out convincing 39-17 winners over Wimbledon, but Parson says that result is irrelevant.

“Everyone can have an off day and we were played particularly well, but a lot can happen in four or five months.

“We’ve not been performing at our best recently, but we have been getting the results.

“We’ll have to make sure we have a good week’s training, and hope it all clicks on the day.

“Rest assured we will be giving it our best shot.”
