Daniels' Esher points haul is just tip of the iceberg

Luke Daniels has started the season like a man possessed, but Esher coach Craig Chalmers insisted the South African points-machine is only just getting started, writes Michael Stafford-Jones.
Esher made it four league wins from four on Saturday as they played host to Old Albanians and it was that man Daniels again who got the ball rolling.
The full back, pictured right, had his first try after just eight minutes and went on to double that tally, while kicking four conversions and a penalty for a points haul of 21 in a 31-10 win.
His performance means the 21-year-old is second in the points scorers’ charts for National Division One on 69 – 11 behind leader Wharfdale’s Tom Barrett.
But Chalmers warned Daniels, who also converted tries from Ashley Smith and Andy Wright, will only add to that tally.
“Luke’s a fantastic talent and he was impressive again against Old Albanians,” said Chalmers, ahead of Saturday’s trip to Wharfedale.
“He’s got good pace, he’s obviously very strong as well. He’s South African, so he likes playing at these hard grounds.
“He’s got great, great feet and is a threat every time on the ball, so we’ve got to make the most of him in attack and get him the ball as much as possible.”
