Wimbledon RFC head coach James Ogilvy-Bull admitted that promotion out of London Division One South is a long shot, but they are not giving up yet.
After last weekend’s 49-3 win over Beckenham, Wimbledon are fifth in the table, 17 points off second place.
“It’s true, promotion is a long way away, but all the top sides still have to play each other,” he said.
“All we can do is carry on winning games and keep the pressure on the top teams. We’re not giving up, and promotion is still the main aim.”
He added: "The most pleasing aspect of the win over Beckenham was that apart from their early penalty, we shut them out of the whole 80 minutes.
"That takes concentration throughout the match, and is a sign of a good side.
"We were excellent in attack and defence, and the scrum and lineouts worked well."
Ogilvy-Bull was boosted by the return from injury of Chris Lewis, Gary Crowe and Karl Roche
