Kingston RFC’s Surrey Division One future hangs in the hands of an RFU committee hearing.
The Hook Road outfit finished in the division’s bottom three last month in controversial circumstances.
Old Blues were beating Old Whitgiftians 25-19 when the match was abandoned with 10 minutes remaining because of a serious injury to a player.
Kingston successfully appealed against the Surrey RFU’s decision to allow that result – which condemned them to the drop – to stand and a counter appeal from Old Blues will now be heard by the game’s governing body at a disciplinary hearing chaired by Jeremy Summers on May 13.
