We have some great movies out on release from tomorrow. Check out the 5 minute video trailer at the end of this feature.
Jersey Boys (15) released Friday June 20.
For anyone who has seen the West End musical Jersey Boys will in for a treat with this gem of a movie from Oscar winning Director and Actor Clint Eastwood.
Actor / singer John Lloyd Young reprises his role as lead singer Frankie Valli. Lloyd won a Tony award in 2006 for his Broadway performance of Frankie Valli, so is more than qualified to take on the role in the movie. Donnie Kehrand and Erica Piccininni also reprise their roles from Broadway.
The film follows the story of four young men from New Jersey who get together to form a singing group against all the odds and become one of the most popular acts of the 1960’s. A good Friday night movie.
The Art of the Steal (15) released Friday June 20
In this comedy drama Kurt Russell plays Crunch Calhoun (what a cliché name) an ex-Art thief and motor bike stunt rider.
Along with his brother Nicky (Matt Dillon) decide to get the old gang together again to pull that one last heist. He doesn’t look too bad for a 63 year old but should really stop using the Grecian 2000. Also stars Terence Stamp.
The Fault in Our Stars (12A) released June 20. June 19 in some cinemas.
This is the number one film in the US. Not bad considering the not so cheerful subject matter.
Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort) are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel's other constant companion is an oxygen tank. Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.
Foker On Film will be running a merchandise competition for this film early next week.
