Occasionally you can see the moon rising from the 10th floor and it's a pretty impressive sight. Wouldn't it be great to get a photo of it?
Don't ask me to explain why, but the moonrise is roughly an hour later each day. Last night it rose at about 5pm, tonight it rose at 6pm, tomorrow it will rise at 7pm. Yesterday was obscured by cloud but tonight was ideal.
Sadly, shooting through double glazing produces an annoying "ghosted" image, so you're going to struggle to capture the detail of the moon. However, after half an hour of experimenting, I managed to get this shot and although the moon is an over-exposed blob it's got atmosphere and I'm happy enough with that for now...
