Every Thursday is market day at The Hive Cafe at the University of Roehampton, and if you're reading this, you're very welcome to drop in and pick up the freshest food.

This week, we're selling freshly harvested campus grown vegetables, and freshly baked artisan breads. Our newest produce, eggs laid by our own hens which live on campus next to the cafe are also up for grabs

What more could you want?

We will be harvesting some delicious spinach which will be the last of the early season spinach for a while. We’ll still have a little bit coming through over summer but spinach doesn’t love the heat so much, so supply will drop off.

The best salads are of course in town and some tasty cooking greens will be online today with a blend of chard, broccoli leaves and rocket. We’ll also have the last of the broad beans.

We’ve had a few big boosters to our Crowdfunding campaign which haven’t gone through the system as yet but we are officially over half way now past the £10k mark! Amazing effort by everyone and thank you so much to all of you who have pledged your support. Please keep sharing the link, we only have 12 days left now: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/growhampton

Do remember that The Hive Café is the social enterprise piece of Growhampton and it is how we fund the work that we do. So even if you don’t love coffee but love our farmers market, campus grown veg, bike hub, live music or volunteering/training sessions that we run, then by pledging your support for the The Hive is still directly supporting all of those other fantastic Growhampton initiatives.
