Have Tooting residents lost their respect for other members of their community?

What would you do if you had an accident or caused an accident? Stop and own up is the right answer (leave your name and contact details on the damaged vehicle at the very least.

In the last year alone I have had my motorbike knocked over six times outside my property on a side street close to the Mitcham High Street.

I realise it is a busy road and I always make sure I park my bike so the wheels are within the white line and not sticking out thus not causing a hazard to passing motorists.

Yet has one honest, decent, concerned, apologetic motorist actually stopped when they have realised they have knocked my motorbike over? No.

Nobody ever sees the accidents so the motorist takes off.

How would they feel if someone broke their tail lights, smashed their bumper up and ripped off their wing mirrors?

It's downright disrespectful to another persons property and yet not one of these people have made any attempt to leave a card or piece of paper on my motorbike to own up to their mistake.

What has happened to honesty, respect for other peoples property and common decency gone in our society these days?

Shame on Tooting drivers.
