This is a long shot but I am trying to find out what happened to my wife’s Aunt. Her maiden name was Dorothy Parker and she was born in Nottingham in 1934. I have found out that she married a painter and decorator by the name of Leonard William Smith from Battersea and that they had two daughters Carol l Smith and Julie A Smith.
I have been able to find out that they were living in “Cheam” Sutton Surrey and that Leonard passed away in 1977 aged 48 years. From there the trail goes cold and I have tried ancestry sites until I am pulling what little hair I have left out in frustration and all to nil results I am afraid to say!
If anyone in Cheam who is a reader of your publication can throw any light on my search it would be a delightful surprise for my wife and her siblings.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
Best Regards
Donald Butt
