Wandsworth Food Bank has opened its fifth distribution centre in Southfields
We couldn't agree more with Ms Ralph's letter highlighting the perhaps unfortunate use of the word 'celebrate' to describe the opening of Wandsworth Foodbank's fifth centre.
It's not a word we've used ourselves - for all the reasons that Ms Ralph mentions.
However we are glad that, thanks to the partnership of St Michael's in Southfields, we can now offer easier access to emergency food and support to local people in crisis seven days a week.
As Ms Ralph says, only when we're no longer needed will it really be time to celebrate.
