Slowly but surely the much promised Battersea Riverbus pier by Plantation Wharf is coming together, with the completion of the mooring pylons now in place.
Less than six weeks ago work had hardly started and now a shape can be made out, helping to show how large it will be when it opens shortly – a long time since it was first discussed and talked about. A big thank you to all those involved in securing yet another location in riverboat transportation links, giving future citizens of Wandsworth a direct alternative to travel into the heart of the City and beyond.
Will we see Thames Clippers running the late night service from the O2 all the way back to Battersea, bringing home happy concert goers to their much welcomed beds, or that family of overseas tourists staying in the new hotel at Battersea Reach taking a leisurely cruise to the Tower of London.
Whichever way you wish to travel, it is full steam ahead, captain.
