Older people’s charity, the Royal Voluntary Service would like to say a huge thank you to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery in London for giving our services an additional award of £25,000 to help tackle loneliness and isolation across the country.
The extra funding will enable the Royal Voluntary Service to reach even more people who need help, with local volunteers providing companionship and practical support through Good Neighbours schemes across Britain.
The Good Neighbours service provides a lifeline for many vulnerable and lonely older people.
This additional funding will allow us to continue to grow our services and ensure that no older person is left struggling on their own.
We are very grateful to players of People’s Postcode Lottery for the funding.
