It is time those of us who walk on footpaths are given more respect by cyclists, construction companies and the local authority.
It is particularly important that consideration is given to the needs of those with mobility problems.
In the past two days I have been faced with situations that would put the blind or wheelchair users in almost impossible positions.
Yesterday, after the rain, I could not walk on my side of the road because whenever it rains the pavement floods.
Photos have been sent to the council more than once but ignored.
Today, walking to Wandsworth Town station, I had to climb over a low fence because the Eltringham School developers had extended across the pavement with no warning.
In Old York Road I was almost mown down by a woman riding along the narrow pavement with four children spread out behind her, despite there being no traffic.
I am lucky – I can see, hear and jump out of the way. Others are not able to.
