Is it inconceivable that in less than two years’ time, if Sadiq Khan did successfully become the next Mayor of London in May, 2016, that the runner-up for the constituency of Battersea, Balham and Wandsworth in the general election, Will Martindale could be selected, to stand for the Tooting seat in a byelection?

Could the voters of Tooting be willing to vote for Mr Martindale in late 2016, if he was asked to stand, or will they want someone else from the local community? A question of what if, too many.

So, ask yourself this.

Can Mr Khan really make it to become London’s next elected Mayor?
