LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
HOUSING, PLANNING AND REGENERATION
NOTICE OF CONSULTATION Draft Sutton Town Centre Public Realm Design Guide (Supplementary Planning Document)
Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Sutton has published the Draft Sutton Town Centre Public Realm Design Guide for public comment. Representations are being invited until Sunday, 27 October 2019.
The Draft Sutton Town Centre Public Realm Design Guide sets out projects and guidelines to improve the streetscene. It has been produced to take advantage of the opportunity for improvement that is occurring as a result of the redevelopment of sites in Sutton Town Centre and the introduction of the Sutton Link (tram). The document is particularly aimed at developers, the Mayor of London and Transport for London to ensure their streetworks are complementary in terms of design and use of materials but the council wants to make sure that residents have their say too - hence this consultation.
The changes to the public realm are expected to be gradual and take place over the next 15 years.
Copies of the document are available for inspection:
