THE MERTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (LINGFIELD ROAD) TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (WIMBLEDON VILLAGE) (NO. 2) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2021

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 7 December 2021, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, amended.

2. The general effect of the 'Prescribed Route' Order will be to:-
(a) revoke the London Borough of Merton (Prescribed Route) (No. 63) Traffic Order 1991, and
(b) re-introduce its provisions with an exemption for pedal cycles to the one-way working in Lingfield Road and an additional short length of contraflow cycle route at the entrance of Lingfield Road at its junction with High Street, Wimbledon.

3. The general effect of the "Waiting and Loading" Order will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Wimbledon Village) (No. 2) Order 2019 so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for 40 minutes) will be prohibited at any time in Lingfield Road, the south-west side, from the south-eastern kerb-line of High Street, Wimbledon (the north-east to south-west arm) south-eastward to a point 2 metres north-west of the north-western boundary of No. 43 Lingfield Road.

4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 20 December 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans specifying the lengths of road affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. Documents have also been made available for inspection at

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 7 December 2021, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the 'Waiting and Loading' Orders will be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (VQ) Order 2017 and the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (CH) (No. 2) Order 2021 so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for 40 minutes) will be prohibited at any time in the roads or lengths of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. The general effect of the 'Parking Places CH' Order will be to formalise the parking place in Woodland Way, the north-west side, adjacent to No. 24 Arundel Avenue.

4. The general effect of the 'Parking Places VQ' Order will be to remove 11 metres of parking place generally outside No. 21 West Side Common to facilitate the introduction of "no waiting at any time" waiting restrictions in the said road.

5. The notice of proposal for the above-mentioned "Waiting and Loading Amendment No. 501" Order was advertised on 29 July 2021 (Order Reference ES/WR2021B1) and also included proposals to introduce waiting restrictions in Beaford Grove, Belgrave Walk, Biggin Avenue, Buckleigh Avenue, Camborne Road, Cambridge Road, Camomile Avenue, Cannon Hill Lane, Churston Drive, Lavender Avenue, Oxford Close, Queen Mary Avenue and Whitebridge Avenue which are subject to further consideration by the Council.

6. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 20 December 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans specifying the lengths of roads affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 500) ORDER 2021

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 7 December 2021, made the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to further amend the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle for up to 40 minutes) would be prohibited at any time in the lengths of street specified in the Schedule to this notice.

3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 20 December 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan specifying the road or lengths of road affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.

(b) the north to south arm, the east side, from a point 9 metres north of the north-western kerb-line of the west to east arm of Bewley Street to a point 11 metres south of the south-western kerb-line of the west to east arm of Bewley Street.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(BURSTOW ROAD. WIMBLEDON CHASE)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas main replacement works in Burstow Road, Wimbledon Chase, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the worksi­te) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:
(i) enter or proceed in Burstow Road, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Toynbee Road southward for a distance of 43 metres;
(ii) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a)(i) above;
(b) the north-eastbound one-way working in Burstow Road would be suspended between its northernmost junction with Dennis Park Crescent and its junction with Toynbee Road and two-way traffic permitted.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Lower Downs Road and Toynbee Road or vice-versa.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into operation on Tuesday 4th January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by Sunday 6th March 2022. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) DURNSFORD ROAD. WIMBLEDON PARK
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate residential development works at Nos. 134 to 138 Durnsford Road, Wimbledon Park, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Durnsford Road.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Durnsford Road, both sides, from a point opposite the south-eastern boundary of No. 138 Durnsford Road north-westward to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 144 and 146 Durnsford Road.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

7. The Order would come into operation on 1st January 2022 and would remain in force for 12 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
THE BROADWAY. SW19 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate development works at No. 247 The Broadway, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in The Broadway.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in The Broadway, both sides, between the eastern boundary of No. 241 The Broadway and a point 7.9 metres west of the western boundary of No. 244 The Broadway.

3. The bus stop outside No. 247 The Broadway would be relocated 36 metres eastward from its current location for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 3 January 2022 would remain in force for a maximum period of 13 months.
