High Wycombe-born Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock scooped her first ever Brit award last night.

The girl group won British Single of the Year for chart-topping hit Shout Out to My Ex, and admitted they were stunned to receive the award.

The girls fended off competition from former One Direction star Zayn Malik - Little Mix star Perrie Edwards' ex-fiance - to win the prize, as well as the likes of Coldplay, Calvin Harris and Clean Bandit.

Earlier in the evening, Little Mix opened the show with an explosive rendition of the song.

Leigh-Anne, whose family is from Downley, was carried onto the stage by male dancers alongside bandmates Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards.

For fans of Little Mix, though, the most exciting element of their Brit Awards opener was that each of the band members sported bright blonde wigs.

One enthusiastic fan wrote on Twitter: "Blonde Little Mix is something I never thought I needed in life until now."

Another said: "Thank God for whoever thought blonde Little Mix would be a good idea because I'll never be the same."
