Atash is the name of the Persian restaurant at the old fire station in Brentford which offers customers the chance to relax in chic, stylish surroundings and enjoy some great cuisine.

Persian food is famed for offering a taste of something exotic featuring the freshest and finest ingredients to produce dishes which are simple, healthy and delicious.

Irena Baker is the manager and she and her team are happy to guide customers through the menu..

“Persian food offers an exotic explosion of flavours and colours which offer something new and exciting for those who haven’t tried it before,” she says.

“Our chef has been here seven years and has worked with some of the best Persian chefs in the UK. We hope the traditional Persian food we serve offers customers an unforgettable experience,” she adds.

Although standards are high, the price of food is reasonable with the average price of a meal just £15. If you aren’t sure what to order then try the mirza ghazemi (£3.50). This popular starter features grilled aubergine, tomatoes, eggs and garlic.

A popular main course is the koobideh kebab (£6.50) – two skewers of finely minced lamb kebab served with saffron rice and salad. A favourite with vegetarians is the Persian vegetables stew, £6.

To round off the meal, try the Bastani – saffron rosewater and pistachio flavoured Persian ice cream.

The house wines are reasonable too. A bottle of pino grigio is £14 and malbec is the same price.

The restaurant has covers for 45 and the bar and garden area can serve 150. Atash caters for parties too.
