The future of Love Island couples Alex George and Samira Mighty and Charlie Frederick and Hayley Hughes lies with the show’s viewers after they were nominated by their fellow Islanders as the least compatible pairs.

During Thursday’s episode model Eyal Booker was sent a text revealing that each couple would have to decide privately which two of the other pairings they believe to be least compatible.

After the couples all conferred, the two couples who received the most votes from their fellow contestants were Mighty and George, and Frederick and Hughes.

Mighty and George were given five votes with many saying that there was no romantic element to their relationship. Frederick and Hughes received four votes.

The episode ended with viewers being invited to vote to save one of the two couples.

The pair left with the fewest votes from the public will be dumped off the island with the result to be revealed on Friday’s episode.

Bookmakers immediately installed Frederick and Hughes as the odds-on favourites to be voted off the reality TV show.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Fans love Alex and Samira, so the odds suggest Charlie and Hayley’s time is up in the villa.”

Thursday’s episode began with Megan Barton Hanson and Booker narrowly being seen kissing in the villa by A&E doctor George.

The three have become embroiled in a love triangle with both boys expressing their feelings about Barton Hanson, who is currently coupled up with model Booker.

After finding out that George had tried to speak to Barton Hanson behind his back, Booker confronted him.

The pair had an angry exchange, with Booker saying to George: “I feel like you’ve kind of really gone and disrespected me when all I’ve tried to do is give you and show you the utmost respect.”

George replied: “I feel that in the last 24 hours, you’ve put pressure on quite a few situations.

“I don’t feel that you gave me the space to talk to her, so I’ve gone and had a conversation with her. “

Booker later confronted Adam Collard and Frederick after Barton Hanson revealed to him they devised a plan to allow George to speak to her.

Booker angrily told them: “I’m fuming. If you would have called me over and just said to me ‘we’ve done this because we want to give Alex a chance to get to know her and we feel like you should just stay here, I honestly, one million per cent, would have been cool with that.”
