Katie Hopkins is apparently being lined up to replace Simon Cowell on the Britain’s Got Talent panel, when he retires.
The music mogul has often said he plans to bow out of being a judge on the ITV entertainment contest he created and take a back seat.
Simon said: “You can’t go on forever. I’ll do a couple more years, sure. I enjoy doing the shows. But I will retire.”
Now reality star and rent-a-gob Katie is being tipped to take his seat, and no one could be more delighted than Katie herself.
She told The Daily Mirror: “There is a role for a Miss Nasty on any panel. We don’t have any good Miss Nasties at the moment because everyone wants to be sweet like Cheryl Cole.
“They want to be loved. It would be good to have someone different. There’s absolutely more TV coming up for me.”
Simon will remain on the panel wiith Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon when BGT returns later this year for its ninth series.
But Amanda also recently hinted she is considering stepping down after celebrating the show’s 10th anniversary.
She said: “I would love to make it 10 and then call it a day.”
