Al Murray is going to be the subject of a new documentary – about his attempt to become an MP.
The comedian is standing against Ukip’s Nigel Farage in South Thanet.
Now his movements are being caught on camera in The Pub Landlord Election Night Special, to be broadcast on Dave.
Award-winning documentary film-maker Amanda Blue – whose credits include Prescott: The Class System And Me – will take viewers behind closed doors during Al’s campaign, as he seeks election to Parliament.
The one-off special will feature “exclusive fly-on-the-wall access on the campaign trail, including run-ins with voters and rival candidates (and) behind-closed-doors meetings with The Guv’s most trusted political advisers”.
Jamie Isaacs, executive producer for Liberty Bell Productions, said: “This is the election story everyone wants to follow and we are delighted the Pub Landlord has granted us access.”
The Election Night Special will air at 10pm on May 7 on Dave.
