Doctor Who actress Jenna Coleman got the dress code of the season spot on with an ornate gold, pink and black gown, and was the epitome of vintage glamour.
Meanwhile, fresh from attending Paris Fashion Week, Cressida Bonas rocked a chic black velvet jumpsuit with some gold accessories.
Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie went for autumnal hues to match her gorgeous red hair, with an oversized printed floral gown.

Of course the man of the hour, newly appointed BFI ambassador Tom Hiddleston dressed to impress in a tux.

While actress Natascha McElhone channelled the tartan trend with a full a-line skirt.
The trouser suit made several appearances. With Anna Friel and the band, The Staves, rocking the androgyny look.
Joan Collins and Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes attended the gala dinner too.
