When the sun is blazing outside all I crave is a beer garden and a glass of Pimms.
In south London we are spoilt for choice when it comes to drinking al-fresco and selecting where to go can become a minefield.
The Ship, in Jews Row, Wandsworth, seemed like the perfect place to visit.
It dates back to 1786 and has recently been updated with an extended dining room, outside bar as well as a terrace.
There has also been more seating added outside and Thames-side cabins, providing lovely views of the river.
My friend and I were lucky to secure one of the popular cabins and marvelled at the views.
We sipped glasses of Pimms laden with fruit, while eyeing up the barbecue.
Staples such as cheese burgers and sausages are on offer, with grilled rainbow trout as well as pulled pork for those after something a bit different.
The pub hosts a range of events, with live music, entertainment and festivals.
On Tuesday you can jig along to Irish music from 8.30pm or you can test your skills at the pub quiz on Wednesdays.
The venue also hosts a very popular scotch egg challenge where chefs present their tried and tested recipes to be judged.
