Men and women who have given their lives in the service of their country will be honoured across Wandsworth on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.
There will be a public Remembrance Day ceremony at Roehampton war memorial, Medfield Street, Roehampton, at 10.50am on Sunday, November 8.
Large services will also be held at St Mary’s Church in Battersea Church Road and St Mary’s Church, Putney Bridge on Sunday, as well as at churches across the borough.
At 11am a two-minute silence will be observed in memory of the fallen.
There will also be two more services at 11am on Wednesday, November 11 – one in the front garden of the town hall, Wandsworth, and a larger one attended by the mayor of Wandsworth as well as other local dignitaries at the war memorial in Battersea Park.
