Putney Bridge underground station was closed and passengers were evacuated today after police officers investigated a ‘suspect package’.
The item was reportedly found on the street outside the station this afternoon, and emergency services were called at around 1pm.
However Metropolitan Police said it was stood down at around 2.15pm after it was discovered to be ‘non-suspicious’.
