Police have released CCTV footage of a 'significant witness' they would like to speak to following a fatal stabbing in Wandsworth.

Abdullah Hammia, 24, was found by police just after 7pm on Melody Road on April 25.

London Ambulance Service were called to the scene but Abdullah was pronounced dead at the scene by 7.30pm.

He was killed by a single stab to the heart and detectives believe the man in the CCTV footage can help them find his killer.

The man in the CCTV footage was captured by the cameras minutes before Abdullah was fatally stabbed.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price, who is leading the investigation by the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "Abdullah was involved in an altercation with a group of males - including at least one who had got out of a black VW Passatt - in Melody Road near the junction with Quarry Road shortly before being stabbed.

"We have made arrests in this case, and three men have been charged with offences, but I do wish to identify this man as a potential witness.

"I would appeal for him to please come forward, or for anyone who may know who he is to contact police."

Two 21-year-old men have been charged with murder and are currently remanded in custody to appear for trial at the Old Bailey.

A 25-year-old man was charged with perverting the course of justice and is remanded on bail to appear at the Old Bailey.

A 30-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman and 40-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder. All have since been released from custody and will not be proceeded with.

A 21-year-old man is currently in custody after being arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
