A man was arrested after he reportedly threatened police with a knife and threw bottles off a balcony in Wandsworth.
Police were called at 9.17pm last night to Furnage Street, near Garratt Lane, to reports of a disturbance involving a man and two women.
A 22-year-old man, who also threatened to self-harm, was arrested on suspicion of affray at 1.52am this morning and is in custody at a south London police station.
One witness, who was very close to the incident, said she was “deeply traumatised”.
After the experience, she said: “I think it's just a matter of time and healing.
“My partner and I are supporting each other through this and we will pull through it.
“We will not let it bring us down. We will fight through this together with support of family and friends. We would like to thank everyone for the support and the immediate response from the emergency services.”
London Ambulance Service also attended and took one of the women to hospital as a precaution. A Met Police spokesman confirmed that she had not been assaulted.
