Falconbrook Primary School held a mock election yesterday. The children from Year 1 to Year 6 all participated bringing their polling cards to the polling station in the hall. The Year 6 polling clerks did an excellent job ensuring the children had their ballot and secretly voted for a political party.
The children chose between the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats and the Green parties. The atmosphere was tense later that day as the returning officer announced the results of a landslide victory by the Labour party. Today the children were very pleased that they correctly forecasted the Labour win of the Battersea constituency.
