An immersive storytelling performance for kids will take place this weekend at the Battersea Power Station Development.
A 50-minute show for ages five to 10, Bouncing Cats and Boom Boom Pups is described as a “journey into the world of AnimaLand where beatbox, rap and graffiti come together” and features spoken-word artist Maxwell Golden and graffiti artist Mr Dane.
Taking place in The Village Hall on 11, 12 and 13 August at 11.30am and 2.30pm, the show is set within a purpose-built graffiti installation where an original children's book is brought to life and interwoven with freestyle hip-hop improvisation.
Audience beatboxing and participation is required.
Children’s tickets (two years plus) are £3 while adults get in for £5.
The whole family (two child and two adult tickets) can get in for £14.
The show is commissioned by Southbank and supported by The Place, produced by Artstrust Productions.
