Starbucks is the latest to fall victim to the Battersea, not Clapham, curse.
On a poster in the window of a closed Starbucks' outlet the chain said its branch in Northcote Road was in Clapham, and not Battersea.
It sparked a response from some people on social media.
The poster read: "We're sorry, this store is now closed. However, another two great Starbucks stores are just around the corner at The Junction Centre, Clapham Junction, or 33/38 Northcote road [sic], Clapham."
But Twitter user Gina LoBuglio spotted the mistake, and said: "I'm sorry that we didn't fully sort this last year."
Dear @StarbucksUK - your Northcote Rd branch is in fact 2 miles from Clapham... #BatterseaNotClapham pic.twitter.com/oUmxr5TrSa

Tweeter Love Battersea added: "Hi lovely Starbucks people, you were wonderful at fixing this error in Clapham Junction so it's very sad to see you fall into mislocating our much loved Northcote Road in BATTERSEA.
"Please do magic again and get our geography, identity and name right."
This is now the third in almost two years similar errors have occurred.
.@Starbucks this is a massive howler - we're Battersea, not Clapham (our lovely neighbours) - please call us by our name #Battersea https://t.co/WwDqWPKrKr

Ms Lo Buglio first spotted it in March last year, while another discovered one in late October.
A Starbucks spokeswoman said it will be corrected, however no further comment was given.
