A new Revolution bar is opening its doors in Putney this week after a huge refurbishment of a former JD Wetherspoon pub.

The new bar, at the corner of Upper Richmond Road and Putney High Street, will be hosting a ‘People’s Party’ with free drinks, food and live entertainment.

It replaces The Railway – an old Victorian hotel - which closed last September after nearly 24 years in Putney when it first opened in December 1993.

The new Revolution Cocktails and Kitchen has two bars, roof terrace and an alfresco spot spread over two floors, serving cocktails, a range of vodkas and all-day dining cuisines.

Its menu includes bar snacks and small plates, as well as sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and main courses.

The official opening date is set for Friday, January 26.
