An independent school based in Putney has announced the appointment of its next headmistress.
Sara Williams-Ryan will join Falcons School for Girls and Peregrines Pre-Preparatory School as headmistress from September 2018.
She will succeed Mrs Sophia Ashworth Jones as headmistress at the school on Woodborough Road.
Mrs Williams-Ryan said: “I am delighted to be taking on the headship at an exciting time for Falcons School for Girls as they launch Peregrines Pre-Preparatory. The school has a reputation for academic excellence, the children are confident, cheerful and motivated, the staff knowledgeable, positive, kind and creative, with high expectations, and the facilities are superb.”
She has a wealth of experience, currently the assistant head at Emanuel School in Wandsworth where she has been a member of the senior management team for 13 years.
Prior to taking on the Assistant Head role at Emanuel School, Mrs Williams-Ryan started her career as Head of Spanish and is also a governor of Christ Church Primary School in Battersea.
Falcons School for Girls, is an independent Preparatory Schools for children aged three to eleven. Peregrines is a co-ed pre-preparatory school opening in September 2018. The preparatory school is for boys and girls aged three to eight and shares Falcons School for Girls’ surroundings.
