A cyclist has been taken to hospital after they were involved in a crash on Mitcham Lane.
The incident happened on the Mitcham Lane/Southcroft Road junction. The cyclist was hit by a van. Long traffic queues are being reported due to a road closure
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 8:41 am, on Friday, August 24. The cyclist is injured, but the injuries are not life threatening or life changing.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8:38 am today to Mitcham Lane, Tooting to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist.
“We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene. We treated a man and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre."
No arrests have been made at this time and the road is now open.
