A man is being treated by health professionals after being on the wrong side of a barrier on a bridge above the M25.

The motorway near the junction 1a was closed to ensure public safety as police were called to the incident at 9.20pm on Tuesday (October 16).

Kent Police said the man was brought to safety from Bow Arrow Lane footbridge by 10.45pm.

The spokesman said he has now been "handed into the care of health professionals" and the M25 is back open.
