A man appeared to attempt to avoid arrest by climbing onto a garage roof on Putney Bridge Road today (October 17).
Police were called Putney Bridge Road at 2.10 am to reports of a possible cannabis factory.
While officers attended the scene a man managed to climb onto a garage roof, refusing to come down.
Armed police, British Transport Police, the London Ambulance Service and the police air service were all in attendance.
The man came down safely and was arrested at the scene for the cultivating cannabis. He remains in custody.
Buses on the 220/270/485 route were all diverted and missing out stops. Normal service had resumed by 4:11pm.
A crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue.
