An elderly woman, 87, has been the victim of a distraction burglary in Southfields.
Two men gained entry into the pensioners Morris Gardens property on Friday, October 26 by pretending to be from a electric company to do a meter check.
The incident took place at 3:35pm. The men took a quantity of jewellery before leaving the property.
Police visited the victim and obtained a list of the stolen items. No arrests have been made as enquiries continue.

A distraction burglary is when someone gains access to a property under false pretences, with the intention of committing theft.
