A second arrest has been made today following the murder of Malcolm Mide-Madariola outside Clapham South underground station last week.

The second suspect, 18, who has not been named, remains in custody at a south London police station on suspicion of murdering the 17 year old college student on November 2.

Another teenage boy, 17, was arrested earlier today also on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a south London police station.

The murder investigation was launched after Mr Mide-Madariola, 17, was found suffering from a stab wound at the scene.

Police were called at around 4.35pm on November 2 to reports of a stabbing in Balham Hill outside Clapham South station.

Officers and paramedics gave Mr Mide-Madariola emergency first aid before he was taken to a south London hospital, where he died a short time later.

A post-mortem examination will be held today at St George's Hospital Mortuary.

"There were a large number of people present when emergency services arrived at the scene, and although many have come forward, I want to ensure that we have spoken to all potential witnesses.
